- I-9 completed - Employment eligibility verified
- W-4 completed - Tax withholding form
- Direct deposit - Banking information (if applicable)
- Emergency contacts - Contact information collected
- Background check - Completed and cleared (if required)
- Drug test - Completed and passed (if required)
First Day
Orientation
- Welcome meeting - Introductions, company overview
- Safety orientation - Site safety rules, PPE requirements
- Job description - Role and responsibilities explained
- Schedule - Work hours, break times
- Payroll - Pay schedule, timekeeping explained
- Benefits - Health insurance, 401k, etc. (if applicable)
Equipment & Access
- PPE issued - Hard hat, safety glasses, boots, etc.
- Tools assigned - Hand tools, power tools (if applicable)
- Vehicle assigned - Company vehicle (if applicable)
- Access granted - Keys, codes, badges
- Uniforms - Company shirts, etc. (if applicable)
Training
- OSHA 10/30 - Safety training (if required)
- Equipment training - Forklift, crane, etc. (if applicable)
- Job-specific training - Task training
- Company policies - Handbook review
First Week
- Check-in meeting - How's it going?
- Questions answered - Address any concerns
- Performance feedback - Initial feedback
- Training continued - Ongoing training
