๐Ÿ‘ท Crew Productivity Calculator

Calculate crew productivity, daily output, and labor hours needed for construction tasks.

Quick Formulaโ€‹

Daily Outputโ€‹

Daily Output = Crew Size ร— Hours per Day ร— Productivity Rate

Labor Hours Neededโ€‹

Labor Hours = Total Work รท Daily Output

Crew Days Neededโ€‹

Crew Days = Labor Hours รท (Crew Size ร— Hours per Day)

Common Productivity Ratesโ€‹

Concrete Workโ€‹

TaskRateUnit
Formwork15-25 sq ft/hrPer worker
Rebar100-200 lbs/hrPer worker
Pour/finish20-40 sq ft/hrPer worker

Framingโ€‹

TaskRateUnit
Wall framing50-100 sq ft/hrPer worker
Roof framing30-60 sq ft/hrPer worker
Sheathing100-150 sq ft/hrPer worker

Drywallโ€‹

TaskRateUnit
Hanging100-150 sq ft/hrPer worker
Taping200-300 sq ft/hrPer worker
Finishing150-250 sq ft/hrPer worker

Common Calculationsโ€‹

Example 1: Concrete Slabโ€‹

Work: 1,000 sq ft slab Crew: 3 workers Hours: 8 hours/day Productivity: 25 sq ft/hr per worker

Calculation:

  • Daily output: 3 ร— 8 ร— 25 = 600 sq ft/day
  • Days needed: 1,000 รท 600 = 1.67 days (2 days)

Example 2: Framingโ€‹

Work: 2,000 sq ft wall framing Crew: 4 workers Hours: 8 hours/day Productivity: 75 sq ft/hr per worker

Calculation:

  • Daily output: 4 ร— 8 ร— 75 = 2,400 sq ft/day
  • Days needed: 2,000 รท 2,400 = 0.83 days (under 1 day)

Factors Affecting Productivityโ€‹

FactorImpactAdjustment
Weather-10% to -30%Bad weather slows work
Complexity-20% to -40%Complex work slower
Experience+10% to +30%Experienced crews faster
Site conditions-10% to -20%Poor conditions slow work
